This is a magazine ad in a graphic designer book. It is advertising paint. I didn't realize it at first, but the guy is sitting on the wood that he just painted to paint the other part of the wood because the paint dries that fast. On the paint can it says "Quick Dry." I think this is a clever magazine ad because people will realize that the paint dries really fast (at least that's what it says), and they would want to buy the paint. I think they did a good job advertising on how fast their paint dries.
